This page is the complete, authoritative explanation of the Publisher role on Frega. It forms part of Frega's Terms of Service by reference. If you have read anything about the Publisher role elsewhere that conflicts with this page, this page is correct.
A Publisher is a community member who develops AI agent tools and publishes them to the Frega marketplace for other users to subscribe to. Publishers work within a secure sandbox environment provided by Frega, using Azure AI Foundry.
This is not an employment position. Publishers are independent service providers responsible for their own tax affairs.
AI agents are specialist tools that operate within Frega's privacy-protected ecosystem. They are designed to perform specific tasks — helping users navigate the platform, automate routine processes, surface useful information, or support business operations. They complement Nova, Frega's built-in personal AI assistant.
AI agents can collaborate with Nova and with each other, but they operate entirely within Frega's garden fence — they cannot access data outside the platform or share information externally.
Other users subscribe to AI agents at $3.00 per agent per month. Subscriptions are entirely optional — the core Frega platform is available without any AI agent subscription.
Publishers receive a portion of the subscription fees paid by users who subscribe to their agents. Payments depend entirely on subscriber count — a tool with no subscribers generates no payment. Payments are variable and should not be considered a reliable or primary source of income.
Important: Publisher payments depend on subscriber uptake, which cannot be predicted or guaranteed. No earnings projections or typical income figures are provided or implied.
Frega provides a secure sandbox environment for Publishers to develop and test their agents before publication. All development activity takes place within this controlled environment, which enforces strict data-protection and secure data-access rules.
All published agents are subject to review by Frega before becoming available in the marketplace. Frega reserves the right to decline publication of any agent that does not meet its standards for data protection, security, or quality.
Nova is the personal AI assistant available to every Frega user, built and maintained by Frega itself. Nova is free and operates within the same privacy-protected environment as all AI agents. It is designed to help users navigate the platform and get the most from its tools.
AI agents developed by Publishers complement Nova. They do not replace it. Nova will always be available free of charge to all users.
